Home Inspection?? What is a Home Inspection and why is it important to me?![]()
Well, once we have found the home that you wish to make yours; let's make sure that there are no hidden or unknown problems before you make one of the largest investments of your life.
A Home Inspection should be conducted by a licensed Home Inspector with a good reputation.? Someone that you feel you can communicate with easily and freely. The inspector will go into the home and review the structural integrity of the home, review the roof and sofits, look for signs of termite damage (possibly exsisting or former), test the heating and cooling system, test the water heater, check the electric system, and major appliances. The check list is quite extensive. The inspector will submit a report on what he finds in writing to you and your agent for you to review together.
This inspection will give you a better sense of knowledge of what condition your future home is in and any immediate needs that should be considered; as well as, any future expenses that you should be prepared for.
Most of the area inspectors are reasonably priced. I recommend that you contact several for a phone interview and quote before deciding which one you feel the most comfortable working with.
Here is a list of some of the area Home Inspectors for your convenience. Again, I can't emphasize enough the value of their services. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions about Home Inspections.
